WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                     Ch. 11

The error in punctuation, the use of a semicolon
rather than a period after the third item in a list of
nine items, is a publishing error which occurred in
the printing of the 1984 Supplement to the 1983
Replacement Volume for Volume 6 of the Annotated Code.

The error in punctuation was noted by the Computer
Division of the Department of Legislative Reference.

(b) A member who is subject to either of [§§
86B, 86C, or 86D] § 86B, § 86C, OR § 86D of this article who
receives creditable service from July 1, 1984 is subject only to
the provisions of the applicable section for the proportion of
earnable compensation that is payable, the computation of the
retirement allowance, and the adjustment of the retirement
allowance.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects stylistic errors in
cross-references in Article 73B, § 83(9)(b).

The stylistic errors occurred in Ch. 7 of the Acts of
1984.

The stylistic errors were noted by the professional
staff of the Legislative Division of the Department of
Legislative Reference.

161.

(4) (a) There is a State Investment Council. The
Investment Council shall consist of 9 members as follows:

(i) 6 members appointed by the Board of

whom shall be an elected trustee of the teachers' system, 1 of
whom shall be an appointed trustee of the State Police system,
and 3 of whom shall be appointed or ex officio [trustee]
TRUSTEES; and

(ii) 3 members of the public appointed by the
Board of Trustees with the approval of the Board of Public Works
for staggered 4 year terms who are not members or beneficiaries
of any of the several systems and who have had a background of
experience in the management and control of large investment
funds. The Board of Trustees may set additional qualifications
for public members and may adopt rules and regulations relating
to ethical standards and conflicts of interest for public
members.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a grammatical error in
Article 73B, § 161(4)(a).
