AN ACT concerning

Day Child Care Facilities and Services - Licensing and
Regulation— Interagency Council

FOR the purpose of §creating an Interagency Council on Day Care
Facilities and Services under the Department of Human
Resources; providing for the membership of the council;
requiring the Secretary of Human Resources to chair the
council, appoint certain members to the council, and adopt
certain regulations developed by the council; requiring the
council to develop certain procedures to implement certain
regulations; providing that the regulations developed by the
council shall require the Department of Human Resources to
administer the consolidated licensing, registration, and
certification of all day care facilities and services;
defining terms; providing that certain regulations shall be
effective on or before a certain date; and generally

relating to regulations consolidating the licensing,

regulation, and certification of day care facilities and
services altering the membership of the Interagency Child
Care Council to include the Director of the Office for
Children and Youth; and altering the membership of the
Advisory Workgroup to remove the Office for Children and
Youth.

BY adding to

Section 5-570 through 5-572 to be under the new part "Part
