If satisfactory evidence is presented, the Board shall certify
this fact to the State Treasurer and the proceeds of the loan
shall be expended for the purposes provided in this Act. If this
evidence is not presented by June 1, 1989, the proceeds of the
loan shall be applied to the purposes authorized in § 8-129 of
the State Finance and Procurement Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning

Strict Liability and Implied Warranties - Human
Blood, Tissue, Organs, or Bones —Transfers

FOR the purpose of providing that a certain person who obtains,
processes, stores, or uses any human tissue, organs, or
bones, or certain derivative substances for a transfer an
injection, transfusion, or transplantation into an
individual is not subject to strict liability in tort or
specific implied warranties; clarifying language; providing
for the application of this Act; and generally relating to
certain strict liability in tort and implied warranties for

certain transfers an injection, transfusion, or

transplantation of human blood, tissue, organs, or bones or
certain derivative substances.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
