AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Regulation of Smoking

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners for
Washington County to enact ordinances governing regulating
smoking in County offices and County office buildings; and
generally relating to smoking in County offices in
Washington County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

236B.

THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY MAY ENACT
ORDINANCES GOVERNING REGULATING SMOKING IN COUNTY OFFICES AND
COUNTY OFFICE BUILDINGS. ANY ORDINANCE ENACTED SHALL ASSURE AND
PROVIDE FOR EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC TO SMOKE IN DESIGNATED
SMOKING PLACES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
