WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                    Ch. 311

[(k) (1)] 4-106. (A) A nonprofit educational publication
known as Maryland Magazine is [created] in the Department [of
Economic and Community Development] for the purpose of educating
the public on the quality of life in Maryland, including its
historical, cultural, recreational, and economic attributes
through the publication of the Magazine.

[(2)] (B) There is a Maryland Magazine Fund which
consists of special funds that are obtained from revenues of the
Magazine and that are not expended or obligated in the fiscal
year during which the funds are received.

[(3)] (C) These funds shall be paid to the State
Treasurer who shall, upon requisition of the Department, disburse
the moneys in the Maryland Magazine Fund for the publication,
promotion, operation, and distribution of Maryland Magazine,
including the refunding, if necessary, of any subscriber's
subscription, in accordance with an appropriation of the General
Assembly.

[(4)] (D) On July 1 of each year, money in the
Maryland Magazine Fund in excess of $80,000 shall be paid over to
the General Fund of the State.

Subtitle [5.] 2. Maryland Lower Eastern Shore Tourism
Center [Advisory Committee]

[14-501.] 4-201.

(a)  There is a Maryland Lower Eastern Shore Tourism Center
Advisory Committee.

(b)  (1) The Maryland Lower Eastern Shore Tourism Center
Advisory Committee consists of 9 members.

(2)  Of the 9 Advisory Committee members:

(i) 3 shall be from Somerset County;

(ii) 3 shall be from Wicomico County; and

(iii) 3 shall be from Worcester County.

(3)  The Board  of County Commissioners in Somerset and
Worcester counties and     the County Council of Wicomico County
shall appoint the members   of the Advisory Committee from the
respective counties.

(c)  Each member of the Advisory Committee shall be:

(1) A member of the general public; and
