LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 65(o)
and (p), respectively, of Article 89 - Division of Labor and
Industry of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be
Section(s) 65(n) and (o), respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, it shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 938)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County - Gaming Laws

FOR the purpose of altering the contents and the requirements for
a permit to be obtained by certain organizations for
operating a carnival, bazaar, or raffle in Baltimore County;
requiring that an application for a permit be on a certain

form and contain certain information; authorizing the

Baltimore County Department of Permits and Licenses to
charge a certain fee as determined by the Baltimore County
Administrative Officer; requiring that any gaming device be
operated by certain members of the organization without the
assistance of professionals; prohibiting any person or legal
or business entity from receiving any fee or compensation
for managing or operating a gaming device at carnivals,

bazaars, or raffles; prohibiting card games at the

carnivals, bazaars, or raffles; limiting certain bets or
wagers; prohibiting the consumption of alcoholic beverages

unless a certain license is obtained; prohibiting an

individual under a certain age from participating in or
operating a gaming device at a carnival, bazaar, or raffle;
requiring the submission of certain information; restricting
the number of times an organization may obtain a permit and
the times of day that gaming activities may be conducted;
requiring the Baltimore County Department of Permits and

Licenses to establish procedures for regulating and

monitoring certain gaming activities; prohibiting in

Baltimore County certain types of gambling and certain
events known as casino nights; authorizing certain
organizations that obtain a certain permit to award prizes
