Ch. 11                                    LAWS OF MARYLAND

6-201.

(b) Except as provided in [§ 6-201(c)] SUBSECTION (C) OF
THIS SECTION, the provisions adopted by the local government
under this subtitle shall be similar to the provisions of Title 4
of this article but shall be modified to the extent necessary to
make the provisions relevant to the prevention of conflicts of
interest in that jurisdiction.

(d) Provisions enacted pursuant to subsection (a) OF THIS
SECTION applicable to any individual who is a candidate for
office shall be consistent with the provisions applicable to the
official holding the office for which the individual is a
candidate.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects stylistic errors in internal
references in Article 40A, § 6-201(b) and (d).

The stylistic error in subsection (b) occurred in Ch.
513 of the Acts of 1979. The stylistic error in
subsection (d) occurred in Ch. 728 of the Acts of
1981.

The stylistic errors were noted by the Michie Company.

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Departments

1-101.

Upon the taking effect of this act the executive and
administrative departments, boards, commissions, institutions,
other units of the State government, and officers of the State
government of Maryland mentioned in this apt shall be organized,
established, continued or abolished, and shall have and exercise
the rights, powers, duties, obligations and functions [as herein]
provided UNDER THIS ARTICLE. No [provisions] PROVISION of this
article shall be deemed as repealed by any act hereafter passed
unless [said] THE provision is expressly referred to and repealed
[in terms of], OR some other clear evidence is given [to] OF the
intent [of the part] of the General Assembly to change the policy
of the State [herein] declared UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This clarifies the language of Article 41,
§ 1-101.

The language being clarified was contained in Ch. 29
of the Acts of 1922 and Ch. 156 of the Acts of 1969.
A portion of the lack of clarity in the section was
due to a typographical error (the use of the word "of"
in place of the word "or" in the second sentence of
the section) contained in the 1978 Replacement Volume
for Volume 4A of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
