SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987 contingent on the taking effect of

Chapter________of the Acts of 1987 (S.B. 233 or H.B. 256), and if

Chapter______does not become effective, this Act shall be null

and void without the necessity of further action by the General
Assembly.

AN ACT concerning

Groundwater Heat Pumps - Regulation of Wells

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene and the State Board of Well Drillers to
regulate certain wells that transfer heat to or from the
ground or groundwater under certain conditions; altering
certain definitions of "well" for the purposes of this Act;
making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the
regulation of wells that are used for groundwater heat
pumps.
