WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                   Ch. 293

(1) Nothing in this section prohibits a county from:

(1)  Contracting with nonprofit organizations, area
agencies on aging, public transportation providers, or private
carriers for the provision of transportation service to the
elderly and handicapped;

(2)  Modifying or expanding any existing local
transportation system; or

(3)  Developing a new transportation system with the
use or assistance of subsidized volunteers.

[(m) This section terminates and is of no further effect
after June 30, 1987.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Excise Tax - Credit

FOR the purpose of providing a credit against the motor vehicle
excise tax for certain taxes paid to another jurisdiction;
and making this Act contingent on the passage of another
Act; and generally relating to the titling tax on motor
vehicles.
