eligible count for the prior fiscal year for each county and the
equivalent of 25 percent of the per pupil basic current expense
figure as determined under subsection (b)(2) of this section for
the current fiscal year, rounded down to the nearest dollar.
[b. Beginning in fiscal year 1990, it
shall be the product of the Chapter 1 eligible count for the
prior fiscal year for each county and the fiscal year 1989
program level per statewide Chapter 1 eligible count.]
2. This product shall be divided by the
ratio, rounded to 7 decimal places, of county wealth per county
full-time equivalent enrollment to statewide wealth per full-time
equivalent enrollment.
3. These results shall be multiplied by a
factor rounded to 7 decimal places and calculated by dividing the
compensatory education funds program level by the sum of the
quotients determined in paragraph (2)(ii)2. of this subsection.
Chapter 85 of the Acts of 1984
SECTION. 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, unless
otherwise provided by law, the provisions of this Act, as
codified in Title 5, Subtitle 4 of the Education Article shall
terminate and be of no effect after December 31, [1989] 1992.
The Governor and the Legislative Policy Committee of the General
Assembly shall, by November 1, 1987, review the effectiveness of
the planning and accountability requirements set forth in Title
5, Subtitle 4 of the Education Article and determine the need for
program modification, or continuation, or both.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
