LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

18-303.                                                                                 

(a)  The State Scholarship Board shall determine the amount
of each general State scholarship based on the financial need of
the applicant.

(b)  (1) A general State scholarship may be awarded in $100
increments. However, the award for a single year may not be less
than $200 or more than [$2,000] $2,500.

(2) A recipient may not be awarded more than [$8,000]
$10,000 for undergraduate study.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Landlord and Tenant

FOR the purpose of repealing the provision that provides that, in
Baltimore City, where certain premises are residences or
dwelling accommodations and the term of the tenancy is less
than a certain time, if the tenant fails to pay the rent,
the lessor can repossess the premises; providing that if a
tenant under a demise for the tenant's residential use dies,
certain persons have the right to be substituted as the
tenant; clarifying language; and generally relating to
Baltimore City landlord and tenant law.
