AN ACT concerning
Prince George's County - Park and Planning Commission -
Records

FOR the purpose of providing that, in Prince George's County, the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission shall
send a copy of a record in its possession, promptly and
without charge, to the head of any civic organization who
has requested the record; and defining "head of a civic
organization". provide to any person who personally appears
at the office of the Commission, a copy of certain
documents, without charge.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning
Commission

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning
Commission
8-104.
(d) (1) All applications for zoning map amendments and all
official correspondence and records relating thereto, prepared or
received by the Commission, shall be made available to the public
during regular business hours during working days of the
Commission, but the Commission may publish rules to prevent this
access from unreasonably disrupting its official business.
However, under any circumstances, copies of technical staff
reports shall be available at the office of the Commission for
the public.
(2)(I) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, UPON A WRITTEN
REQUEST BY THE HEAD OF A CIVIC ORGANIZATION FOR A RECORD PREPARED
OR RECEIVED BY THE COMMISSION, THE COMMISSION SHALL SEND A COPY
OF THE RECORD TO THAT PERSON PROMPTLY AND WITHOUT CHARGE.
(II) IN THIS PARAGRAPH, THE TERM "HEAD OF A
CIVIC ORGANIZATION" MEANS A PERSON NAMED AS THE PRESIDENT OF OR
CONTRACT FOR A CITIZENS' CIVIC, OR CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION LISTED
IN THE "DIRECTORY OF ORGANIZATIONS IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY"
