AN ACT concerning

Podiatry - Monetary Penalties

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of Podiatry Examiners to
impose an administrative monetary penalty on licensees and
holders of limited licenses in certain circumstances;
authorizing the Board to impose monetary penalties alone or
in combination with other penalties? requiring the Board to
adopt certain standards for the imposition of penalties; and
generally relating to penalties imposed by the Board of
Podiatry Examiners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

15-206.

(b) The Board shall pay all funds collected under this
title into the General Fund of this State.

15-311.

(a) Subject to the hearing provisions of § 15-313 of this
subtitle, the Board, on the affirmative vote of a majority of its
members then serving, may deny a license or a limited license to
any applicant, reprimand any licensee or holder of a limited
license, IMPOSE AN ADMINISTRATIVE MONETARY PENALTY NOT EXCEEDING
$5,000 ON ANY LICENSEE OR HOLDER OF A LIMITED LICENSE, place any
licensee or holder of a limited license on probation, or suspend
or revoke a license or a limited license if the applicant,
licensee, or holder:
