physician's order is obtained within 2 hours of the action; [and]

(4) BE FREE FROM MENTAL ABUSE; AND

[(4)] (5) Be protected from harm or abuse as provided
in this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Nurses - Renewal Fee - Volunteers

FOR the purpose of amending a provision of law so as to authorize
a nurse who provides professional services only as a
volunteer to have a certain reduced license renewal fee; and
generally relating to a reduced license renewal fee for
volunteer nurses.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

7-310.

(a)  A license expires every 2 years, unless the license is
renewed for a 2-year term as provided in this section.

(b)  At least 1 month before the license expires, the Board
shall send to the licensee, by first class mail to the last known
address of the licensee, a renewal notice that states:

(1) The date on which the current license expires;
