(a)  (1) The fee for a license is $10.

(2) The clerk shall:

(i) retain $5 of the fee; and

(ii) pay $5 of the fee into the general fund of
the county.

(b)  (1) Any county or group of 2 or more counties may set
an additional fee of up to [$15] $25 for each license.

(2) The proceeds shall be used to fund domestic
violence programs.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Rescue Squads

FOR the purpose of requiring the Board of County Commissioners of
Garrett County to appropriate and pay to certain rescue
squads located in the county a certain amount; specifying
the source of the funds and terms and conditions for
payments; requiring a rescue squad to use the funds in a
certain manner and to report annually on the receipt and
disbursement of the funds; defining a certain term; and
generally relating to the funding of rescue squads in
Garrett County.
