without cost, and any failure to obey an order of the court may
be punished by the court as a contempt thereof.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Controlled Hazardous Substance Facilities - Inspections

FOR the purpose of repealing the frequency requirements for
inspecting a controlled hazardous substance facility and a
landfill that is a controlled hazardous substance facility;
requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to
establish an inspection schedule of each controlled
hazardous substance facility based on certain conditions;
and generally relating to the inspection of a controlled
hazardous substance facility.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) [(1) At least once each month, the Department shall
inspect each controlled hazardous substance facility.

(2) At least once each week, the Department shall
inspect any operating landfill that is a controlled hazardous
substance facility under this subtitle.]

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ESTABLISH A SCHEDULE FOR THE INSPECTION
OF EACH CONTROLLED HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE FACILITY BASED ON:

(1) THE SIZE OF THE FACILITY;
