1985 Replacement Volume of Volume 8 of the Annotated
Code, the correction must be made legislatively.
The omission of the commas was noted by the Michie
Company. The grammatical error was noted by the
professional staff of the Legislative Division of the
Department of Legislative Reference.
83.
Every employer shall pay to each of his employees, except as
may be provided pursuant to this subtitle, wages at the following
rates:
(3) All employees as may be subject to the provisions
of this subtitle shall receive a wage of one and one-half (1 1/2)
times their usual hourly wage rate for any hours worked in excess
of forty (40) hours during any workweek except that this
subsection shall not apply to any of the following employees:
(j) Any employee engaged in agriculture who is
exempted by the overtime provisions of the [federal] FEDERAL Fair
Labor Standards Act. An employee covered by this paragraph shall
receive a wage of one and one-half times the employee's usual
hourly wage for any time worked in excess of 60 hours during any
workweek.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a stylistic error in Article
100, § 83(j).
The word "Federal" in the second line of § 83(j)
should be capitalized. The error occurred in Ch. 211
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1983.
The stylistic error was noted by the Computer Division
of the Department of Legislative Reference.

(c) "Economically disadvantaged individual" means an
individual who:
(5) In cases permitted by regulations of the
Secretary, is an adult handicapped individual whose own income
meets the requirements of [paragraphs] PARAGRAPH (1) or (2) of
this subsection, but who is a member of a family whose income
does not meet such requirements.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a stylistic error in Article
100, § 119.
The stylistic error occurred in Ch. 268 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1983.
