SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning
Tax - Property Article - Corrective
FOR the purpose of correcting errors and omissions in the Tax
Property Article; correcting errors in punctuation,
tabulation, and grammar; correcting cross-references;
clarifying that the definitions of certain property taxes do
not include certain benefit charges; clarifying that the
defined term "Department" includes a Supervisor; reinstating
a reference to commercial and industrial assessors;
reinstating a limitation as to when a collector who fails to
remit is liable for certain charges; correcting a
requirement as to the constant yield tax rate; clarifying
the amount of a property tax exemption that may be granted
to a surviving spouse; clarifying the extent of the
exemption for interests in government-owned personal
property; clarifying who may grant the waiver of the income
requirement for certain owners of agricultural land;
correcting the provision as to when certain woodland shall
be reassessed; reinstating a provision as to certain
nonforest values of woodland; clarifying the basis for the
exemption for medically based improvements; clarifying the
type of information that taxpayers may present or report;
