(2) (B) IN ANY CIVIL PROCEEDING FILED AGAINST A SPECIAL
DEPUTY COMMISSIONER APPOINTED PURSUANT TO THIS SUBTITLE, THE
SPECIAL DEPUTY COMMISSIONER SHALL BE ENTITLED TO REPRESENTATION
BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 12-304 THROUGH
SECTION 12-312 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

AN ACT concerning

MIDFA - Export-Related Financing Transactions

FOR the purpose of increasing the maximum aggregate amount of
insurance from the Authorized Purpose Insurance Fund for an
export-related financing transaction; and defining certain
terms in the Maryland Industrial Development Financing
Authority law.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Financial Institutions

13-101.

(a)  In this subtitle, the following words have the meanings
indicated.

(b)  "Acquisition" means the acquisition, construction,
reconstruction, equipping, expansion, extension, improvement,
rehabilitation or remodeling of 1 or more facilities.
