Comptroller, under such regulations as he may prescribe, that the
tax was paid on a sale which had been rescinded or cancelled or
was erroneously, illegally or unconstitutionally collected. The
Comptroller may, in lieu of any refund required to be made by
this section, allow credit therefor on subsequent payments due
from the applicant.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects stylistic errors in Article
81, § 348.

The stylistic error, improperly used section signs
("§§"), occurred in Ch. 344 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1951.

The stylistic errors were noted by the Mitchie
Company.

460.

(a) The Comptroller shall pay into a special fund in the
treasury all taxes, penalties and interest collected and received
by him pursuant to this subtitle. Such proceeds shall be
disbursed upon the warrant of the Comptroller for the following
purposes:

(2) After the deduction provided for in paragraph (1)
of this subsection, any amount collected and received from the
supplemental tax imposed under Section 433(b) of this subtitle
shall be paid as follows:

(i) 33% into the Maryland [Agriculture]
AGRICULTURAL Land Preservation Fund, established under § 2-505 of
the Agriculture Article, for the purposes specified for use of
the Fund in Title 2, Subtitle 5 of the Agriculture Article;

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a misspelling in Article 81,
§ 460(a)(2)(i).

The misspelling occurred in Ch. 121 of the Acts of the
Regular Session of the General Assembly of 1985.

The spelling error was noted by the Michie Company.

Article 87 - Sheriffs

51.

It shall be the duty of the sheriffs of the several counties
to appoint three members of each fire company who shall be
designated as [hereinbefore] provided IN § 50 OF THIS ARTICLE,
deputy sheriffs, upon request of said members accompanied by a
written certificate of designation signed by the captain, chief
or other commanding officer of the fire company to which they
belong, to have and exercise the powers of such deputies within
the counties for which they are appointed at fires and on the way
