(d) (3) To participate in the Employees Retirement System
or the Pension System for the Employees of the State of Maryland
the following entities shall be considered to be a municipal
corporation:

(i) The Interstate Commission on the Potomac
River Basin;

(ii) A cooperative library commission;

(iii) The Upper Potomac River Commission;

(iv) The Tri-County Council for Western
Maryland, Inc.;

(v) The Allegany County Transit Authority;

(vi) The Health Planning Council of Appalachia;

(vii) The St. Mary's County Nursing Home;

(viii) The Maryland Environmental Service;
[and]

(ix) The Chesapeake Bay Commission; AND

(X) THE LOWER SHORE PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL,
INC.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This adds to Article 73B, § 163(d)(3) an
entity intended by Ch. 379 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1985 to be added to Article 73B, §§ 21 and
130 as a municipal corporation for purposes of
membership in the State Employees Retirement and
Pension System.

When Ch. 785 of the Acts of the Regular Session of the
General Assembly of 1985 consolidated the laws with
regard to municipal participation in the pension and
retirement systems, it repealed former Article 73B, §§
