32.01.01.01 General Administration

To become available immediately
upon enactment of this budget to
supplement the appropriation for
fiscal year 1986 to provide funds
for a loan to Provident Hospital
contingent upon the completion
and submission to the State

Governor and the budget

committees by March May 31, 1986
or prior to the release of any
funds of the following: (1) a
memorandum of understanding an
executed agreement and a detailed
plan of merger with,
consolidation with or acquisition
by another hospital; (2) a
memorandum of understanding an
executed agreement and a detailed
plan shall include provisions for
the substantial reduction of
inpatient acute care beds and the
elimination. of duplicate
inpatient acute care services
between the involved hospitals;
(3) a detailed plan for
governance of the merged,
consolidated or acquired
hospitals; (4) a detailed
financial plan including payback
schedules for State loans; and
(5) evidence that the institution
has substantially achieved the
expenditure and revenue targets
outlined in the hospital's
financial forecast of January,
1986. State funds advanced
herein shall not be used for
