purchased with funds appropriated by this Act, shall comply with
the standard specification as approved by the Board of Public
Works with the advice of the Department of Budget and Fiscal
Planning; provided, however, that in the case of the
administrative head of any State department or agency whose
duties require that he travel extensively throughout the State,
the Board of Public Works may authorize the purchase of a class
of passenger vehicle which is in excess of the standard
specification.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That it is the
intention of the General Assembly to include herein a listing of
unclassified flat rate and/or per diem positions by agency, job
classification, the number in each job classification and subject
to modifications provided for in the Annual Salary Review and the
authorization provided in Program 26.01.07.01 - Salary
Adjustments and in the salary adjustments proposed pursuant to
the authorizations in various programs in the legislative
appropriations 21.xx.xx.xx, the amount proposed for each
classification in accordance with Section 7-121 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article of the Annotated Code of
Maryland. The President and the Speaker may make adjustments to
positions contained in the legislative portion of this Section
that are impacted by changes in the Annual Salary Review in the
executive agencies. The Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals may
make adjustments to positions contained in the judiciary portion
of this Section (other than judges) that are impacted by changes
in the Annual Salary Review in the executive agencies.
The salaries included herein for the Attorney General,
Secretary of State, State Comptroller of Maryland and State
Treasurer of Maryland are annual rates for terms of office
beginning during fiscal year 1987 and are not subject to salary
modifications provided in program 26.01.07.01 - Salary
Adjustments. Notwithstanding any amounts included in this
section, the salaries of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor
shall be as provided in Article II, Section 21A of the
Constitution of Maryland.
