Natural Heritage and Conservation
Program shall be contingent upon
enactment of SB 319, and further
provided that the program shall

be administered in accordance

with the terms of SB 319.........

Provided that of the General Fund
Appropriation, $1,500,000 may be
spent under a Natural Heritage

and Conservation Program for

acquisition of interests in

property for protection of lands
that support diverse ecological
communities of plants or animals,
including forestlands, habitats
of rare, threatened or endangered
species, and areas necessary for
watershed protection., provided

that of the General Fund

Appropriation, $625,000 may be
spent under a Natural Heritage
and Conservation Program for
acquisition of interests in
property for protection of lands
that support diverse ecological
communities of plants or animals,
including forestlands, habitats
of rare, threatened or endangered
species, and areas necessary for
watershed protection.

Provided that of the Special Fund
Appropriation, $12,000,000
represents that share of Program
Open Space revenues available for
State projects and $12,000,000
represents that share of Program
Open Space revenues available for
local programs. These amounts
may be used for any State
projects or local shares
authorized in Chapter 403, Laws
of Maryland, 1969, as amended, or
in Chapter 81, Laws of Maryland,
1984, or in Chapter 106, Laws of
