HARRY HUGHES, Governor

39

Article 31 was transferred to Titles 2, 6, 7, and 8 of
the State Finance and Procurement Article in Ch. 11 of
the Acts of the Regular Session of the General
Assembly of 1985.

The outdated cross-reference was noted by the Michie
Company.

Article 31B - Patuxent Institution

14.

The director may determine from time to time whether, and to
what extent, persons in the custody of the Institution and
selected by the director shall supply goods, wares, merchandise
and produce required to be purchased by ["consuming institutions"
as defined in Article 21, § 8-204(c) of the Annotated Code of
Maryland. All such activities shall be conducted in accordance
with the provisions of Article 21, § 8-204 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland] STATE USE INDUSTRIES.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects incorrect cross-references in
Article 31B, § 14.

Article 21, § 8-204 was repealed in Ch. 661 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1981, which created
the State Use Industries. There do not appear to be
any existing provisions limiting the sale of goods and
services to the State Use Industries in State Use
Industries law.

The incorrect cross-reference was noted by the Michie
Company.

Article 33 - Election Code

2-3.

(b) (1) Except as provided in [paragraphs] PARAGRAPH (2) of
this subsection, each substitute member of the board shall
receive compensation for each day he serves as a member, in an
amount determined by the county commissioners, county councils,
or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore. A substitute member
shall attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the board and
shall be compensated at a rate of not less than $25 per day.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a grammatical error in
Article 33, § 2-3(b)(l).

The grammatical error occurred in Ch. 443 of the Acts
of the Regular Session of the General Assembly of
1985.

The grammatical error was noted by the Computer
Division of the Department of Legislative Reference.
