VETOES

House Bill 246, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 13, 1986, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 888.

AN ACT concerning

Spring Grove Hospital Center - Citizens Advisory Board

State Hospital Centers - Advisory Board

FOR the purpose of increasing the membership of the Spring Grove
Hospital Center Citizens Advisory Board; requiring that the
members of the Citizens Advisory Board be residents of
certain counties; specifying the terms and residency of
members of the Citizens Advisory Board; providing for the
application of this Act; requiring that one member of the
Crownsville Hospital Center Board shall be a resident of a
certain county; and generally relating to Citizens Advisory
Boards for State mental hygiene facilities.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health - General

10-411.

(a) (1) (i) Except for the Eastern Shore Hospital Center,
the Crownsville Hospital Center, [and] the Regional Institute for
Children and Adolescents in Prince George's County, AND THE
SPRING GROVE HOSPITAL CENTER, each Board consists of 7 members
appointed by the Governor.

(ii) The Board for the Crownsville Hospital
Center consists of 9 members appointed by the Governor.

(iii) The Board for the Eastern Shore Hospital
Center consists of 11 members appointed by the Governor.
