SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 225.

This bill raises the maximum salary for a Register of Wills
from $37,500 to $45,000.

House Bill 30, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on April 29, 1986, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 225.

AN ACT concerning

Registers of Wills - Salaries

FOR the purpose of altering the maximum salary that may be
received by each Register of Wills; providing that this Act
does not affect incumbents; and generally relating to the
compensation of Registers of Wills.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 2-205

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY. THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
