purposes; altering the manner in which a buyer of health
club services may cancel an agreement for health club
services permitting a buyer of health club services for a
facility that is not in existence when the contract is
executed to rescind the contract and have deposits refunded
within a certain time if the constructed facility does not
provide services substantially as promised in the agreement;
requiring a seller of health club services to disclose
certain information to the buyer regarding the buyer's right
to cancel an agreement; requiring a seller to disclose
certain information to the Consumer Protection Division of
the Office of the Attorney General at a certain time;
authorizing the Division to issue a cease and desist order
under certain circumstances; making each sale of health club
services agreements that violates this Act, and a violation
of a provision requiring the seller of health club services
to disclose certain information to the Division at a certain
time, an unfair or deceptive trade practice; defining a
certain term; and generally relating to the regulation of
health club services.
