(2)  IF THE CARROLL COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
APPROVES, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO THE CARROLL
COUNTY DETENTION CENTER MAY BE GRANTED THE PRIVILEGE OF LEAVING
THE DETENTION CENTER TO WORK OR TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT.

(3)  AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN ORDERED BY A JUDGE TO
PARTICIPATE IN A REHABILITATIVE ACTIVITY MAY LEAVE THE CARROLL
COUNTY DETENTION CENTER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE CARROLL
COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT.

(4)  EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION OR UNLESS A
COURT ORDERS OTHERWISE, AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO
THE CARROLL COUNTY DETENTION CENTER SHALL BE CONFINED TO THE
CENTER.

(C)  AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS EMPLOYED THROUGH A WORK RELEASE
PROGRAM UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL REIMBURSE THE CARROLL COUNTY
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT FOR THE DEPARTMENT'S ESTIMATED COST OF
PROVIDING FOOD AND LODGING TO THE INDIVIDUAL, AND FOR ESTIMATED
EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE OF THE INDIVIDUAL'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE WORK RELEASE PROGRAM.

(D)  IF AN INDIVIDUAL VIOLATES A CONDITION OR PROVISION OF
TRUST ESTABLISHED BY A JUDGE, OR BY THE SHERIFF OF CARROLL COUNTY
OR DESIGNEE, THE INDIVIDUAL MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE WORK RELEASE
PROGRAM AND ANY EARNED DIMINUTION OF SENTENCE MAY BE CANCELED.
IF AN INDIVIDUAL VIOLATES A TERM OF LEAVE ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS
SECTION, IT SHALL BE CONSIDERED A VIOLATION OF § 139 OF THIS
ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Circuit Court

FOR the purpose of establishing the Office of the Director of
Assignments of the Circuit Court in Anne Arundel County;
requiring the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Anne Arundel
County to transmit all appearance fees for certain purposes;
providing for the transfer, from the Anne Arundel County
Assignment Office to the Office of the Director of
Assignments of the Circuit Court in Anne Arundel County, of
responsibilities and functions, equipment and furniture, and
