SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

18-901.

(a) There is a program [for] OF fellowships for
postgraduate work in the graduate school of the University of
Maryland at College Park KNOWN AS THE JUDITH A. RESNIK MEMORIAL
POSTGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM.

18-1402.

(a) There is a program of teacher education tuition
assistance in this State KNOWN AS THE SHARON CHRISTA MCAULIFFE
MEMORIAL TEACHER EDUCATION TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Enforcement Officers

FOR the purpose of including the members of the Maryland Alcohol
and Tobacco Tax Enforcement Unit in certain definitions of
police officer to permit them to make an arrest without a
warrant under certain conditions and to include them in the
certification requirements of the Police Training
Commission.
