(a) (1) The Board consists of [11] 13 members appointed by
the Secretary.

(2) Of the [11] 13 Board members:

(i) 3 shall be appointed from a list of
qualified individuals submitted to the Secretary by the Medical
and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland;

(ii) 2 shall be appointed from a list of
qualified individuals submitted to the Secretary by the Maryland
Nurses Association, Inc.;

(iii) 1 shall be appointed from a list of
qualified individuals submitted to the Secretary by the Maryland
Pharmaceutical Association, Inc.;

(iv) 1 shall be an individual who, during at
least the 3 years immediately before appointment, has been the
owner or administrator of a related institution in this State
that is classified as a nursing home and shall be appointed from
a list of qualified individuals submitted by the Health
Facilities Association of Maryland; [and]

(v) 4 shall be appointed from a list of
qualified individuals submitted to the Secretary by the Maryland
Hospital Association, Inc., of which:

1. 2 shall be administrators of hospitals
in this State;
