SECTION 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, except as
expressly provided to the contrary in this Act, any person
licensed, registered, or certified by any board established or
continued by any statute repealed, or revised by this Act is
considered for all purposes to be licensed, registered, or
certified by the appropriate unit continued under this Act for
the duration of the term for which the license, registration, or
certification was issued, and may renew that authorization in
accordance with the appropriate renewal provisions of this Act.
Except as expressly provided to the contrary in this Act, an
individual who was originally licensed, registered, or certified
under a provision of law that has been deleted by this Act as
obsolete continues to meet the requirements to the same extent as
if that provision had not been deleted.

SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect October 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Leased Oyster Bottom - Acreage Limitations

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Department of Natural

Resources from leasing certain amounts of submerged land for
oyster cultivation to an individual or to certain persons
acting under the control of the individual; and generally
relating to prohibitions on persons to whom the Department
of Natural Resources may not issue leases for oyster
cultivation on submerged land.

FOR the purpose of restating certain provisions of law concerning
the size and shape of leased oyster bottom in Worcester
County; establishing a certain limit on the amount of leased

oyster bottom that may be leased to an individual in

Worcester County: authorizing a certain number of
individuals to work together and have operative control over
a certain amount of leased oyster bottom in Worcester
County; providing that certain leases of oyster bottom shall
revert to the State under certain circumstances; providing
certain exceptions for certain persons who work and have
operative control over a certain amount of leased oyster
bottom in Worcester County as of a certain date; and
generally relating to leased oyster bottom in Worcester
County; and making this Act an emergency measure.
