7-105.

(a) The Corporation shall insure and guarantee the share
and deposit accounts of each member to protect these accounts
against loss.

(b) The amount of loss to be protected against shall be [:]
NO GREATER THAN $100,000 PER DEPOSITOR.

[(1) $40,000 per account; or

(2) any greater amount established from time to time
by the Corporation in its rules and regulations.] ON THE SAME
BASIS, AND TO THE SAME EXTENT AND AMOUNT AS PROVIDED BY THE
NATIONAL CREDIT UNION ADMINISTRATION SHARE INSURANCE PROGRAM.

(c) (B) The Corporation may make contracts for reinsurance.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1986 JANUARY 1, 1987 July l, 1986 January 1,
1987.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That in any instance
in the Maryland Annotated Code the term "Maryland Credit Union
Insurance Corporation" appears, it shall be construed to mean the
"Credit Union Insurance Corporation."

Criminal Law - Crimes of Violence - Mandatory Sentences

FOR the purpose of adding certain crimes of assault to the
definition of "crime of violence" for purposes of mandatory
sentences in certain crimes involving subsequent offenders.
