AN ACT concerning

Washington Suburban Sanitary District - Refunds
PG/MC 45-86

FOR the purpose of repealing current provisions relating to the
appeal of assessments, tax levies, and service charges of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission; establishing
provisions for the refund, under certain circumstances, of
certain fees, charges, or assessments or charges paid to the
WSSC; requiring the WSSC to investigate and process certain
claims for refunds; requiring that a claim for refund be
filed within a certain time; providing for the payment of
interest on any amount refunded; providing for the appeal of
a WSSC decision and the procedure for processing the appeal;
and generally relating to the refund of certain fees,
charges, or assessments or charges by the WSSC.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 29 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District

[6-110.

(a) On the written complaint of an individual who has a
financial interest in the appeal, or on the written complaint of
the County Council of Montgomery County or Prince George's
County, and under the rules and regulations of the Public Service
Commission, the Public Service Commission on appeal shall
determine the reasonableness of any assessment, tax levy, or
service charge of the WSSC.
