SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning
Exposure to Infectious Contagious Diseases - Notification
and Benefits
for Fire Fighters and, Emergency
Medical Technicians, and Rescue Squadmen
FOR the purpose of requiring certain physicians to notify certain
paid and volunteer fire fighters and, emergency medical
technicians, and rescue squadmen if the fire fighter or,
emergency medical technician, or rescue squadman comes into
contact with certain patients with infectious contagious
diseases; requiring that such notice be made within a
certain period of time, include certain written protocol
confirmation, and be conducted in a certain confidential
fashion; establishing the entitlement of certain paid and
volunteer fire fighters to receive occupational disability
benefits and certain medical treatment if exposed to an
infectious disease and notified as required; establishing
entitlement to an a certain occupational infectious death
benefit; defining a certain term; and generally relating to
notification and benefits for of fire fighters and,
emergency medical technicians, and rescue squadmen exposed"
to infectious contagious diseases.
