providing for the membership, terms, and qualifications of
the Committee; providing for the powers and duties of the
Committee; providing for certain fees; providing for a
certain certificate to practice as a physician assistant;
providing for the qualification for applicants for certain
certificates or certificate renewals; providing for certain
examination requirements and a waiver of the requirements;
requiring physician assistants to be supervised by a certain
physician under certain conditions; requiring certain
hearings under certain circumstances; providing that the
rights of certain individuals are not limited under this
Act; providing for grounds for disciplinary actions;
providing penalties for certain violations; providing for
the termination of this Act; providing that certain
certification requirements are waived for certain
individuals before a certain date; providing that certain
job descriptions remain in effect before a certain date;
providing that this Act is not intended to provide any
mandated reimbursement for physician assistants merely
because of their certification; defining terms; and
generally relating to the certification of physician
assistants.
