(c) In addition, each agent application received at a time
other than the initial or renewal registration filed by a
broker-dealer requires a prescribed filing fee of $25.

(d)] If an application is denied or withdrawn, the
Commissioner shall retain the filing fee.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Economic Development - Small Business Assistance

FOR the purpose of establishing the Maryland Small Business
Extension Service Center Program within the Department of
Economic and Community Development; providing for the
designation of a public agency or private contractor to
serve as small business extension service providers;
designating duties to be performed; providing for the
employment of voluntary and temporary employees and their
compensation; designating geographic regions for service
areas; providing for a delayed effective date; providing for
the termination of the provisions of this Act after a
certain date; and generally relating to small business
assistance.

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative

Section 266FF-1 through 266FF-3 to be under the new

subheading "Maryland Small Business Extension

Service Center Program"

Preamble

WHEREAS, The establishment of the Maryland Office of Small
Business Assistance by Chapter 492 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1982 was contingent upon certain funding; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 492 was rendered null and void due to the
unavailability of the required funds; and
