(iii) pay, wholly or partly, the costs of a
pilot or demonstration project that is intended to overcome the
special problems of minority business enterprises.

9-305.1.

(A) THERE IS AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR
MINORITY AFFAIRS.

(B) THE INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE IS COMPOSED OF:

(1) THE SECRETARY OF EACH PRINCIPAL DEPARTMENT OF THE
EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT, OR THE SECRETARY'S DESIGNEE;

(2) THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS, OR THE
SUPERINTENDENT'S DESIGNEE;

(3) THE COMMISSIONER FOR HIGHER EDUCATION, OR THE
COMMISSIONER'S DESIGNEE; AND

(4) THE DIRECTOR.

(C) THE INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE SHALL:

(1) MEET AT THE CALL OF THE DIRECTOR;

(2) SUPPLY THE DIRECTOR WITH INFORMATION RELATING TO

THE PROMOTION OF MINORITY BUSINESS PARTICIPATION IN STATE

CONTRACTS AND THE PROMOTION OF MINORITY BUSINESS ACTIVITY IN THE
PRIVATE SECTOR; AND

(3) PROVIDE OTHER ASSISTANCE REQUIRED BY THE DIRECTOR
TO CARRY OUT THE DUTIES SPECIFIED IN § 9-305(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE.

9-306.

On or before the 15th day of each regular session of the
General Assembly, the Director shall send an annual report on the
Office of Minority Affairs:

(1)  to the Governor; and

(2)  subject to § 2-1312 of this article, to the
General Assembly.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.
