AN ACT concerning

Health Care Facilities - Kidney Disease Treatment Facilities

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of a "health care
facility" so as not to include kidney disease treatment
facilities, stations, or services for certain purposes; and
repealing the requirement that kidney disease treatment
facilities obtain a certificate of need before the number of
kidney dialysis stations of a health care facility are
changed.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

19-101.

(e) (1) "Health care facility" means:

(i) A hospital, as defined in §. 19-301 of this
title;
