AN ACT concerning

Special Registration Plates - Veterans' Organizations

FOR the purpose of providing that a provision of law relating to
special registration plates for certain veterans'
organizations applies to a certain vehicle class; altering a
certain annual registration fee and requiring that the fee
be retained by the Motor Vehicle Administration; and
generally relating to special registration plates for
certain veterans' organizations.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) (1) The owner of any vehicle described in paragraph (2)
of this subsection may apply to the Administration for the
assignment to that vehicle of a special, veterans' organization
registration number, if the applicant is a member of:

(i) The Department of Maryland, Veterans of
Foreign Wars of the United States;

(ii) The Department of Maryland, Disabled
American Veterans of the United States; or

(iii) The Department of Maryland, American
Legion.
