AN ACT concerning

Howard County - Orphans' Court Judges - Compensation

Ho. Co. 301-86

FOR the purpose of altering the annual compensation of the judges
of the Orphans' Court for Howard County; providing that this
Act does not affect the incumbents; and generally providing
for the compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court for
Howard County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Estates and Trusts

2-108.

(o) Each judge of the court for Howard County shall receive
an annual compensation of [$4,000] $4,500 to be paid monthly.
The salary of the Chief Judge is [$5,000] $5,300. Each judge
shall also receive an expense allowance, in addition, up to $50
per month, for personal expenses incidental to the judge's
duties, to be paid by the treasurer of Howard County each month
upon presentation of an itemized voucher.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Howard County Orphans' Court Judges in office on the
