AN ACT concerning

Commission on Medical Discipline - Reports by Hospitals

FOR the purpose of requiring hospitals and related institutions
to file quarterly with the Commission on Medical Discipline
a report certain reports containing the names of certain
physicians; requiring that the report state whether each
physician has within a certain period of time, engaged in
certain activity that might be grounds for disciplinary
action; imposing a certain fine for failure to file reports
timely; authorizing the Commission on Medical Discipline to
extend certain reporting times under certain conditions; and
generally relating to reports made by hospitals and related
institutions to the Commission on Medical Discipline.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND,. That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) (1) [Each] EACH QUARTER JANUARY 1 AND JULY 1, EACH
hospital and related institution shall [report to] FILE WITH the
Commission A REPORT THAT:

(I) CONTAINS THE NAME OF EACH PHYSICIAN WHO,
DURING THE QUARTER 6 MONTHS PRECEDING THE REPORT:

INSTITUTION;

RELATED INSTITUTION; OR

1.  IS EMPLOYED BY THE HOSPITAL OR RELATED

2.  HAS PRIVILEGES WITH THE HOSPITAL OR
