9-122.

(A)  A MEMBER OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SHALL BE PRIVILEGED
FROM TESTIFYING MAY NOT BE SUBPOENAED TO TESTIFY IN A CIVIL OR
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION, PROCEEDING, OR DEPOSITION, OTHER THAN ONE
IN WHICH THE MEMBER IS A NAMED PRIVATE PARTY, DURING ANY REGULAR
OR SPECIAL SESSION, AND FOR 14 l0 DAYS BEFORE AND AFTER EACH
SESSION.

(B)  THIS SECTION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF A MEMBER'S
CONSTITUTIONAL OR COMMON LAW PRIVILEGES.

SUBTITLE 18. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

2-1801.

PRIVILEGES FROM TESTIFYING FOR MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY ARE FOUND IN § 9-122 OF THE COURTS AND JUDICIAL
PROCEEDINGS ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 35

(House Bill 49)

AN ACT concerning

Motor Vehicle Administration - Personalized Registration
Plates - Historic Vehicles

FOR the purpose of providing that the owner of a Class L
(historic) vehicle may apply to the Motor Vehicle
Administration for the issuance of special, personalized
registration plates; and providing that this Act is an
emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
