Section 4-1008(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-1008.

(b)(1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS

SUBSECTION, [A] NA person may not catch oysters by tongs, [or]
patent tongs, or [by] diving except during the tonging and diving
season from [September 15] OCTOBER 1 to March 31, inclusive, the
following year.

(2) [However, in] IN the waters of Worcester County,
the tonging and diving season is from January 1 to December 31,
inclusive.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That notwithstanding any other law or regulation of the
Department of Natural Resources establishing catch limits for
oysters caught by tongs, patent tongs, or diving, the following
daily catch limits for oysters apply from September 15, 1986
through September 30, 1986:

Method of Catching Oysters             Daily Oyster Catch Limit

Tongs                                               15 bushels per man and 100 45

bushels per boat.

Patent Tongs                                15 bushels per man, 45 bushels

per boat that uses a single
rig, and 60 bushels per boat
that uses a double rig,

Diving                                             20 bushels per boat.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.
