(3) USE TRIAL AND ERROR EXPERIMENTATION AS A BASIS
FOR DIRECTING ITS RESEARCH INTO WAYS TO IMPROVE OYSTER
PROPOGATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the original
appointments to the Advisory Commission shall be as follows:
(1) 3 members for terms of 4 years each;
(2) 3 members for terms of 3 years each;
(3) 2 members for terms of 2 years each; and
(4) 2 members for terms of 1 year each.
SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning
Water Resources - Submerged Aquatic Vegetation
FOR the purpose of establishing a certain prerequisite to the
removal or eradication of submerged aquatic vegetation;
exempting certain activities under this Act; defining a
certain term; authorizing a person to harvest, cut, or
otherwise remove or eradicate submerged aquatic vegetation
only under a certain plan; allowing certain persons to
remove or eradicate submerged aquatic vegetation to allow
access to piers or docks on the Chesapeake Bay; authorizing
the removal or eradication of certain submerged aquatic
vegetation around certain marinas without the approval of
the Department of Natural Resources; authorizing the removal
or eradication of certain submerged aquatic vegetation by
public utilities or telecommunications carriers without
approval of the Department of Natural Resources; requiring a
permit for certain marinas to remove or eradicate submerged
aquatic vegetation for certain purposes; providing an
exception; encouraging certain persons to obtain certain
information and use certain methods to harvest submerged
aquatic vegetation; prohibiting certain persons from using
chemicals to control in a certain manner submerged aquatic
vegetation; exempting certain persons; requiring a certain
submission and plan approval, subject to certain terms;
