the transmission of electric current for electric light, heat, or
power purposes, or moldings, ducts, raceways or conduits for the
reception or protection of such wires or conductors, or to any
electrical machinery, apparatus, devices, or fixtures to be used
for electric light, heat or power purposes.

(b)  A "Master Electrician" license issued in accordance
with the provisions of this subtitle entitles any such [person]
INDIVIDUAL so licensed to engage in the business of and to hold
himself out to the public as engaged in the business of
installing, erecting, and repairing and of contracting to
install, erect, and repair any electric wires or conductors, etc.

(c)  This subtitle does not apply to any firm or corporation
if the [person] INDIVIDUAL managing and in charge of the
electrical work for the firm or corporation is a master

electrician licensed under this subtitle.

8-106.

(a) (1) (I) Before any [person] INDIVIDUAL engages in the

business of a Master Electrician in Washington County [and before
any person engaged in the business or any class continues in the
business of Master Electrician], that [person] INDIVIDUAL shall
apply to the Board for a license EXAMINATION. [The applicant
shall present himself before the Board at a time and place fixed
by the Board. If the Board finds upon due examination that the
applicant presenting himself has a reasonable knowledge of
electricity and the natural laws and functions of electric wires,
appliances, and devices for electric light, heat, and power
purposes and is possessed of skill and knowledge in all matters
appertaining to the business of Master Electrician, the Board,

upon payment of the fee and upon executing the bond shall issue
to the person a license as Master Electrician to practice the
business for a term of 1 year. The Board shall register that
person as a duly licensed Master Electrician. A person who has
been engaged as a bona fide contractor in the electrical
contracting business in Washington County for a period of 3 years
prior to June 1, 1951, is not required to take the examination as
provided in this section, before the issuance of the licenses. A
license may not be granted to any person under 21 years of age.
A license may not be granted to any person who has not taken and
subscribed an oath that he has had at least 3 years' actual
experience either as a Master Electrician or as a journeyman
electrician in the class or classes of electrical business or
work, as the Board believes has properly fitted the applicant for
a license as a Master Electrician.]

(II)  THE BOARD SHALL HOLD LICENSE EXAMINATIONS
4 TIMES ANNUALLY AT A TIME AND PLACE DETERMINED BY THE BOARD.

(III)  AN APPLICANT SHALL FILE A LICENSE
APPLICATION WITH WORK EXPERIENCE VERIFICATION LETTERS AT LEAST 15
DAYS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
