AN ACT concerning

Sales Tax - Exemption for Marine Terminal Equipment

FOR the purpose of exempting from the sales tax certain sales of

certain equipment for used within certain marine terminals.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

326.

The tax hereby levied does not apply to the following sales:

(CCC) SALES OF MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT USED EXCLUSIVELY
FOR LOADING, UNLOADING, AND HANDLING OF CARGO OF OCEAN GOING
VESSELS AT MARINE TERMINALS IN THE PORT OF BALTIMORE WITHIN
INTERNATIONAL CARGO MARINE TERMINALS OF THE STATE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall

take effect July 1, 1986.
