SHALL HAVE 90 DAYS IN WHICH TO EXERCISE ANY OPTION GRANTED UNDER
THIS ARTICLE OR THE MAXIMUM BENEFIT OPTION SHALL BE EXERCISED ON
BEHALF OF THE OFFICER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall

take effect July 1, 1986.

(Senate Bill 740)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - General Powers

FOR the purpose of authorizing Baltimore City to acquire certain

land and property, subject to a certain condition, by
eminent domain for or in connection with the industrial and
economic growth of the city; and providing for the

termination of this Act; and providing that the abrogation
of this Act does not apply to suits filed on or before a
certain date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Charter of Baltimore City, 1964 Revision

Article II - General Powers

Section (15A)(a)

(1981 Replacement Volume, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

The Charter of Baltimore City
Article II - General Powers

The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall have full
power and authority to exercise all of the powers heretofore or
hereafter granted to it by the Constitution of Maryland or by any
Public General or Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland; and
in particular, without limitation upon the foregoing, shall have
power by ordinance, or such other method as may be provided for
in its Charter, subject to the provisions of said Constitution
and Public General Laws:

(15A) (a)(1) To acquire, within the boundary lines of
Baltimore City, land and property of every kind, by purchase,

gift or any other legal means, but not by eminent domain. EXCEPT
