SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

128A.

(A)  IN THIS SECTION, "WEEKEND PRISONER" MEANS A PRISONER
UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE SHERIFF OF CECIL COUNTY, WHOSE
SENTENCE IS TO BE PERFORMED DURING ANY 48-HOUR PERIOD IN ANY
7-DAY PERIOD, WITH EACH PERIOD OF CONFINEMENT TO CONSTITUTE NOT
LESS THAN 2 DAYS OF THE SENTENCE IMPOSED.

(B)  THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CECIL COUNTY MAY COLLECT
FROM A "WEEKEND PRISONER" AN AMOUNT DETERMINED TO BE THE COST TO
THE COUNTY OF PROVIDING FOOD, LODGING, AND CLOTHING FOR THE
PRISONER. THE COURT MAY WAIVE ANY OR ALL OF THIS CHARGE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of $800,000 $450,000 $400,000. the proceeds to be
used as a grant to the Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop, Inc.
for the purpose of the planning, design, construction, and
equipping of the Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop, including
the costs of surveys, testing, and site preparation, subject
to the requirement that the Lower Shore Sheltered Workshop,
Inc. provide at least an equal and matching fund of a
certain kind for the same purpose by a certain date; and
providing generally for the issue and sale of bonds
evidencing the loan.
