reference to the Maryland Savings-Share Insurance
Corporation (MSSIC) with a reference to its successor,
the State of Maryland Deposit Insurance Fund
Corporation (MDIF).

Ch. 6 of the Acts of the First Special Session of the
General Assembly of 1985 eliminated the MSSIC and
replaced it with the MDIF.

The obsolete reference was noted by the professional
staff of the Legislative Division of the Department of
Legislative Reference.

Article - Health Occupations

4.5-202.

(a) (1) The Board consists of 7 members.

(2)  Of the 7 Board members:

(i) 5 shall be dietetians licensed on or after
July 1, 1986 to practice dietitians in Maryland, including:

1.  One member who is engaged primarily in
clinical dietetic practice;

2.  One member who is engaged primarily in
community or public health dietetic practice;

3.  One member who is engaged primarily in
administrative dietetic practice;

4.  One member who is engaged primarily in
consulting dietetic practice; and

5.  One member who is a faculty member in
the field of dietetics or nutritional science; and

(ii) 2 shall be consumer members.

(3)  The Governor shall appoint the dietitian members
with the advice of the Secretary and with the advice and consent
of the Senate from a list of 10 dietitians submitted jointly by
the Maryland Dietetic Association and faculty of the Maryland
institutions of higher education which graduate dietetic
practitioners.

(4)  THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT THE CONSUMER MEMBERS
WITH THE ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY AND THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF
THE SENATE.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects the omission of a standard

provision for the appointment of consumer members to

the State Board of Dietetic Practice in § 4.5-202(a)
